China AG Trade Fair (CATF),
organized by Ministry of Agriculture annually, is a state –level
agricultural exhibition and has been successfully held for eight
consecutive years. CATF gets great attention and support from
the CPC Central Committee and state Council. It also obtained
significant achievements and played an increasingly important
role in publicizing agricultural policy, presenting agricultural
achievements, popularizing agricultural technology, enhancing
circulation of agricultural products in markets as well as
promoting trade and cooperation in recent years. CATF is
regarded as the most influential and renowned state-level
agricultural exhibition by far in china.
2011
is the Ninetieth Anniversary of foundation of the Party and the
starting year of 12th Five year plan. Holding the
Ninth CATF is a necessary way to further publicize the party’s
policies of strengthening agriculture and benefiting farmers as
well as presenting the latest agricultural achievements.
Besides, it is an ideal platform to reveal some victories which
has been got on practicing agriculture policies as well as
boosting agriculture and rural economy developing fast yet
steady. Specifically speaking, the policies refers to marking
efforts to guarantee annual national grain output reaches 500
billion kilos and growth rate of peasant income reaches
6%,trying to avoiding regional major animal epidemics and major
animal epidemics and major quality safety incident. Moreover, it
is major measure of focusing on agriculture issue, speeding up
converting development mode of agriculture and realizing targets
of developing modern agriculture indicated in the 12th
Five Year Plan.
The Ninth CATF 2011
is co-organized by ministry of Agriculture and Sichuan
Provincial People’s Government themed with converting
development mode and boosting modern agriculture. Adhere to
purposes of presenting achievement, facilitating business and
promoting trades, to presenting the best, opening to the public
and exhibitor-oriented operation, the exhibition hopes for
success. The exhibition covers 60,000
square meters consisting of eight sections. More than 2.000
enterprises consisting of 33 delegations from 31
provinces(autonomous regions, municipalities), Xinjiang
Production and Construction Corps and Taiwan, up to 15 foreign
countries including America, Switzerland, Britain, Japan,
Canada, Hungary, etc. will participate in the exhibition.
Enterprises have admittance to the exhibition if they
satisfy those qualifications like top leading industrialized
designation gained, passed certifications of pollution-free,
green and organic, large and medium export-oriented ones,
foreign invested and joint ventured ones, world renowned ones
and so on. Exhibitors separately come from plant industry,
animal husbandry, aquatic industry, machinery, agro-tech and
agriculture-related service units.

The exhibition adds
new features of six aspects to the existing ones. Firstly, it
adds new display contents within farmer cooperatives display
area and horticultural crops standard garden display area.
Secondly, it specially sets up Sichuan provincial display area
for demonstrating results of post-disaster and new look of local
agriculture and rural areas. Thirdly, it presents achievements
made in the 11th Five Year Plan, displays and
publicizes new concepts of developing modern agriculture and
successful practice models which expand ideas on developing
agriculture and rural areas economy referred in the 12thFive
Year Plan. Fourthly, it reflects accomplishments made in
agriculture brand-building. Fifthly, it enriches synchronous
activities of linking production with marketing and promoting
trade in order to amplify efficiency of the exhibition. Sixthly,
it strengthens management, makes innovations on exhibiting mode,
enhances service and makes contribution to guiding along with
regulating agricultural exhibition market. In a word, the
exhibition brings about novel organizational forms reflected in
setting presenting and activities parts with various styles. We
make overall arrangement of combining indoor with outdoor
displaying area which fully reveals the present status of
agriculture. Exhibiting combined with demonstrating realizes the
utility of agriculture exhibition as facilitating widespread use
